I came across thi story in the online version of the Telegraph. Actually, it's a short notice based on an article Mr. Stoppard has penned for the October Tattler. As the Tattler is a Conde Nast publication, we probably won't be seeing an online version of the Tattler's story but I'll try to locate the dead tree edition and pass it along to you here.
The Oscar winner appears to be having intimations of mortality. "I have a spasm of envy for the person that was killed by a falling bookcase, as long as it doesn't happen prematurely," the president of the London Library says in the October edition of Tatler magazine.
"[It] would be a good way to go. You went when you were in a good frame of mind and you were doing something pleasant and interesting.
"A lot of people would say, 'I would rather have a heart attack at the height of sexual passion.' On the whole, I would prefer to be killed by a bookcase." [more]
