Well. This article is certainly at the intersection of two of my deep interests. While I have doubts about the new film, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead, in which our two anti-heroes become vampires, I have an obligation to keep an open mind and figure out how to seen this ... movie.
Afterward, cast and crew mingled at Rose Bar, where Sean Lennon, who scored the film, was gearing up to play a set with his band. Dapper in a top hat and bow tie, he told us that Stoppard actually helped him and Galland write a script for another movie when they attended high school together, but which didn’t come to anything. Still, he was eager to compose the music for this one, he said, because it allowed to him write something “hauntingly beautiful.”
Imagine that: asking Mr. Stoppard for help on a homework assignment.
