In Monday's NYTimes, Mr. David Carr adds his voice to Author's Guild class action suit and settlement. Some of Mr. Carr's facts in his piece are a bit cockeyed but in a New-York-City-We-Won't-Get-Bogged-Down-in-the-Silicon-Valley-Details of the story. (See reference to the founder's of Twitter and ex-Googlers which certainly in spirit is not correct.)

When I told Mr. Schmidt I was worried about Google’s dominant presence in my digital life, he said: “It’s a legitimate concern. But the question is, how are we doing? Are our products working for you?”
Why, yes they are. And if a book is ever written about all this, Google will probably be able to serve that up as well.
