Honestly, I've lost track of how many years Mary Meeker has stepped down from the mountain top to deliver to us mere mortals her view of the digital economy and her prediction for where it's headed next. This year, Ms. Meeker used the Web 2.0 conference as a platform for her prognostications. Here are a couple of points from her summary:
- It's hard to tell how long the recession will last.
- Technology and advertising spending is closely tied to GDP growth.
and my favorite..
- Companies with cogent business models that provide consumers with value should survive / thrive.
Now that we've got that straight, don't you feel smarter?
